Andrew Forte commits to Le Moyne College

ROCHESTER, NY, August 12, 2015 — The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) announced today that Pittsford Sutherland senior Andrew Forte plans to attend Le Moyne College in Fall 2016.

Forte, who was a faceoff/midfield standout for much of his high school career while at Spencerport High School, first started playing lacrosse in 5th grade for Spencerport’s youth league. “It was something new that I had never heard of and wanted to try it out,” Forte said.  In 2014 he earned All League 2nd Team Midfield(MC-D3), and in 2015 he earned 2nd All-Section, and All League 1st Team Midfield(MC-D3). He was also named a Brine All-American.

Forte played with the Rochester Flyers before joining the FCA Northeast 2016 team in the Fall 2014.  “What I enjoy most about FCA is the closeness of the players and coaches, and how it is like a family.  I hope to be a coach at some point for FCA and stay involved in such a great program,” Forte said.

Why Le Moyne?  “The location was a big reason, it wasn’t too far away from my hometown, but mostly what drew me to Le Moyne was how close the whole community is with each other,” Forte said, “I am looking forward to the overall change in intensity of the game, and being able to better myself in the sport I love while also receiving a good education.”   He intends to major in psychology.

Forte would like to give “shoutouts” to his mom for taking him to the many events that he has attended during the lacrosse seasons, and to FCA for providing great memories that will last a lifetime.
