Serving with Connor Winters

Connor working in a drill. This 4Core moment highlights FCA Player Connor Winters. Connor and his McQuaid Jesuit modified lacrosse team recently volunteered their time to help Rochester’s inner city lacrosse program called RocE6 with drills, stations, and one on one teachings. Now that Connor’s season has ended, he frequently attends more and more RocE6 practices on his own accord. I believe Connor exemplifies the 4Core value of Serving, considering that as a 7th grader he sees the importance of giving back and donating his free time to help grow a new generation of lacrosse players. #4Core #serving

What is 4Core?

The 4Core Series focuses on the core values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence. These four core values serve as a guide to help FCA remain focused on our mission, and our hope is that our attitude and actions will always reflect our core values.  To ensure that our values always stay in front of us as coaches and players, we will be providing an opportunity for people to submit any “4 Core” that they as a coach or athlete have demonstrated themselves — or observed in others — on a weekly basis.

There is no limit to the amount of “4 Core” that one person can submit, and people are encouraged to not only submit their own core moments, but those of their players, coaches, children, etc.

Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ – to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
