As a Head Lacrosse and Wrestling Coach at Frontier High School for nearly a decade, Chris Stack wondered why God would call him to step away suddenly from coaching. He knew that he felt the Lord’s calling to go deeper in his walk and to spend more time with his own crew of four children, however, he missed having an impact on his athletes and other coaches. When Jake Hannon, the newly hired FCA Area Representative for Erie County, approached Stack about becoming involved with FCA lacrosse, Stack started to see the pieces of the puzzle coming together.

Now mobilized and equipped by FCA in Erie County, Stack has launched an FCA Huddle at Frontier High School Hamburg, where he team teaches 10th grade social studies. He also helped start an Erie County Coaches Huddle because of his passion to see his fellow coaches grow in their faith.

“FCA lacrosse is unlike anything I’ve been a part of, and I’ve been involved with lacrosse for over thirty years. With FCA, we get to do something better, we get to learn about Jesus and play lacrosse, everything from top to bottom in this organization builds character for both the players and coaches alike,” Stack said.

Stack received his BS in marketing from Keuka College and his Masters in Adolescent Special Education from D’Youville College. He and his wife Jen have four children – three sons and a daughter. The family reside in Hamburg where they attend Hamburg Wesleyan Church. In addition to coaching for FCA, Stack has also enjoyed coaching with the Frontier Youth Lacrosse Program since 2000. He is passionate about seeing FCA grow in Erie County, and is excited to play a role in this growth.
