- SUNY Oswego
- Jordan-Elbridge Jr/Sr High School, 1989 Graduate
Kevin Auyer says his coaching philosophy is simple: “We, as coaches, are building the youth of our community to be better people and must hold them to high standards with regard to sportsmanship and fair play. As role models for these young people, we should always try to live up to what we are teaching and set a good example for our players to follow. It is our job to love them, and their job to love each other.”
Kevin has served as a youth lacrosse coach at Jordan-Elbridge for nine years, and as an FCA assistant coach with Greg Scott for three years. He was drawn to FCA after watching a few games from the sidelines a few years ago, “I realized that the coaches and the players were very well-mannered, and I appreciated the faith message that FCA brings to the players and their families.”
While playing for Jordan-Elbridge in high school, Kevin led the league in points and played in the 1989 All-Star game. At Morrisville State College, he played for Paul Rose. Having completed his Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Cayuga Community College, Kevin is currently completing his Bachelors in Career & Technical Education (CTE) from SUNY Oswego. He intends to continue at Oswego to pursue his Masters in CTE.
A welding instructor for Onondaga-Cortland-Madison (OCM) BOCES, Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing and camping. He and his wife Jodie reside in Memphis, NY with their thirteen-year-old son Wyatt.
