Scott Petrie has been active in lacrosse since he started playing at Homer High School and then onto Herkimer Community College where he won the 1989 National Championship. At Salisbury University he served as captain and was a two-time All-American.

Scott served as Herkimer CCC’s Defensive Coordinator in 1991 where they played in the National Championship, and as Defensive Coordinator at Salisbury University from 1994-1998 where they won Two National Championships. Since 2010 he has been coaching at Johnstown High School.

Scott began his role as an FCA assistant coach in Spring 2014. He chose to coach for FCA because he holds the same philosphy for coaching that FCA stands for: “FCA has the right people and the right philosophies about life and the game – this is the type of ministry I want to expose my son to. As a coach, I have seen way too many club teams’ direction be about coaching to win. I feel like they are missing the bigger picture on and off the field.”

Scott currently works for the Center For Disability Services as a Program Administrator. He resides in Johnstown, NY with his wife Shannon and their children Isabelle and Ethan. His current hobby is being a taxi cab driver for his children’s practices and events.
