Zach Opiela

A resident of Farmington, NY, Zachary (Zack) Opiela has played lacrosse for the past 13 years. He advanced to the sectional finals during his junior and senior years while at Canandaigua Academy — winning it in his senior year. He also played varsity football during his junior and senior years of high school, advancing to sectional finals during his senior year.

As a youth, Zack came to know Christ, “during a church retreat where we did community work for people less fortunate than most.” His first exposure to with FCA was at an FCA all-nighter lacrosse event at TSE when he was in 7th grade.

“I am excited about my first summer of coaching with FCA because I wish to spread my knowledge of Christ and his teachings through the sport I love the most, lacrosse.”

As for Zack’s coaching philosophy? “Go and have fun, and try your best and learn to get better at every step of your game.”
